Water Quality Status and Water Quality Index of Selulu Reservoir, East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Abstract Selulu Reservoir is located in Waru District, North Panajam Paser Regency. It one of the tourist destinations supporting tourism sector. Land use changes and urbanization have potential impacts on environment. This study aimed to determine Water Quality Status Index (WQI) Reservoir. Hopefully, result will become basis for future reservoir management keep water quality well. The method this used survey method. These research steps include surveys, samples, laboratory analysis, data analysis. Parameters analyzed temperature, pH, BOD, COD, DO. results showed that reservoir’s all samples still met standard, except pH at point 3. difference fluctuating value found COD 3, although it meets standard. location close residential areas dump their waste into reservoir. standards, WQI excellent category. due dominant land forest plantations with few settlements around reservoir, domestic small, capacity supportive. Management needed maintain future.
